JETZLOG - DVB Logging System

Realtime DVB Multi Program Transport Stream Logging System

JETZLOG allows you to record your broadcast signal as a complete multi-program muxed stream. JETZLOG can simultaneously record and stream – on ASI / IP – up to 100Mbps of Multi Program Transport Streams. Data is automatically recorded to the Archive Storage. In addition, the built in storage capacity allows users to retain up to three days of data on the local cache.

The recording of specified time slots is done on a Disk on File System (DOFS™). Powered by the Jetz DDI and the Postgres Database Management System, the allocation and retrieval of files for recording, transferring to storage and re-use, after the stipulated time frame, happens seamlessly.

Input is mirrored and logged concurrently as active and passive logging. The health monitor on the database server keeps a close watch on the loggers and, in the event that it detects a problem on the active logger, validates and seamlessly moves data from the passive logger to the archive. Notifications regarding input loss, system failure – including power down – are generated as warnings with alarms being transmitted to specified recipients.

The database server controls all the loggers and has complete control of which file is to be written next, which has to be moved to the archive, which has to be quarantined, etc. The overall control and management, including the health status of the various systems, are monitored by the database server with its own redundant server.

The client-side interface (Windows or HTML based front ends) allows authorised users to select any particular channel for viewing live streams or for review of logged streams. Clips can be created from archived materiel and distributed through soft or hard media.

Since JETZLOG records all components of a multiplexed broadcast, JETZLOG is ideal in situations where the regulatory authority requires long term recording for compliance verification or where advertisers require proof of Service Level Agreements. Additionally, it is very useful for offline post analysis.

Versatile DVB Playout Server with HD and Multi Channel Capability

JETZPLAY is a combination of a versatile playout server with a playout manager that can play out 2/4/8 channels on a single ASI  up to 100 Mbps throughput. It has a sophisticated packing technique of streams based on an adaptive technology – ADPACT™ – and built-in statistical multiplexing, based on forward prediction of large frames.

An intuitive UI enables easy playlist creation and management.  A highlight of JETZPLAY is its remote playlist manager which can control the playout server even through the internet.

The ADPACT™ core and the built-in statistical multiplexer ensure an almost constant bit rate delivery on the Transport Stream. The JETZPLAY DVB Playout Server comes in two versions, JETZPLAY – the playout server – and   JETZNV – the nVoD server.

The system is built on the Linux OS and a robust hardware platform for trouble-free 24 x 365 operation.
